Why Dual Extraction Matters
Medicinal mushrooms contain different beneficial compounds that require different extraction methods.
~ Alcohol extraction draws out certain medicinal compounds, mainly the ones that are fat-soluble as well as triterpenes. This process takes 6 to 8 weeks.
~ Hot water extraction draws out different medicinal compounds, primarily beta-glucans. This is about a 48-hour process.
