Raw Chocolate Cricket Bark


-1/8th cup cacao butter

-1/8th cup coconut oil

-1/4 cup cacao powder

-2 Tbs maple syrup

-1/2 tsp vanilla

-1/3rd cup Evolution Ranch Simply Salty CrickEATS!


Bring water to a boil in a double boiler. Add cacao butter and coconut oil and turn down to medium heat. Once melted, turn off the burner and add the cacao powder, maple syrup and vanilla. Stir thoroughly with a whisk until mixture is even. Add Simply Salty CrickEATS! and gently stir just enough to coat all crickets evenly. Pour the mixture onto parchment paper on a small cookie sheet or plate and place in freezer to harden.

Notes and Tips:

Chocolate should be fully hardened in about a half hour. Once hardened chocolate can be broken into “bark” pieces and placed in a container for storage in the refrigerator. Parchment paper can be folded into a rectangle if you’d like to make more of a bar shape.
